How long will it take to build our home?
Generally speaking, a single family home will take a total of 14-20 months to complete, INCLUDING the pre-planning process, depending on the types of approvals needed and the size and complexity of the project.

What are the major steps in building our new home?
The overall process is as follows:

  • Budget outline, Survey, Design of Floor Plan (1.5-2 months):
      During this stage, we will collaboratively form a preliminary budget, design the floor plan, consult on-site and do a site survey.
  • City Approvals, Designing the Interior (2-6 months):
      At this next stage, we will submit applications for all the necessary permits and work with the interior designer to finalize the interior layout.  City approval time during this stage will vary depending on whether a development permit is required or not.
  • Finalize Budget (1 week):
      We will finalize all finishings and budget costs and start construction once the budget is approved by the client.
  • Construction (10-12 months):
      At this stage, we will do all the construction work including digging, framing, finishings, etc.  Once the home receives an occupancy permit from the City, your new home warranty will commence and you can move in!
